Indications

Transtec is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain in patients requiring continuous treatment. This medication is particularly useful in cases where treatment with non-opioid analgesics has not provided adequate relief. Buprenorphine, its active ingredient, acts on opioid receptors in the central nervous system, helping to reduce the perception of pain. The patch allows for a constant release of the active substance, offering more effective and convenient pain management for the patient.

Composition

Each Transtec patch contains 30 mg of buprenorphine, as well as excipients that facilitate the release and absorption of the active ingredient through the skin.

Contraindications

Transtec should not be used by patients with known hypersensitivity to buprenorphine or to any of the product's excipients. It is contraindicated in patients with severe respiratory diseases, as well as in those with a history of drug or alcohol abuse. It should not be administered to children under 12 years of age.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those being treated with other medications that may cause central nervous system depression. Close monitoring should be performed in elderly or debilitated patients, as well as in those with conditions that may be altered by opioid administration.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
