Indications
Somnocal is indicated for the induction of anesthesia in surgical procedures. It is used in patients requiring sedation during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. It is also indicated in the management of patients with sleep disorders, as well as in emergency situations where rapid sedation is needed. It is important that the use of Somnocal be supervised by a trained healthcare professional, due to its sedative effects and the possibility of respiratory depression.
Composition
Each Somnocal ampoule contains: Midazolam 15 mg. Excipients: water for injection, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment).
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to midazolam or any other component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory problems, severe sleep apnea, myasthenia gravis, or in those who are being treated with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Somnocal in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with cardiovascular or pulmonary diseases. Additionally, it is suggested to monitor patients for possible adverse effects, especially in older individuals or those with significant comorbidities.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
