Indications

Simvastatin Kenner is indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemias, including primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is used as part of a therapeutic strategy that includes diet and exercise, to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease or at high risk of developing coronary heart disease. Simvastatin works by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme, which results in a decrease in cholesterol production in the liver and an increase in LDL uptake through hepatocellular receptors.

Composition

Each Simvastatin Kenner tablet contains 10 mg of simvastatin as an active ingredient. Excipients: talc, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Simvastatin Kenner is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to simvastatin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with active liver disease, persistent elevation of transaminases, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Simvastatin Kenner to patients with a history of musculoskeletal disorders, as well as those who consume significant amounts of alcohol or who are being treated with other drugs that may interact with simvastatin. Periodic monitoring of liver enzymes and muscle function is recommended during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
