Indications

Sideril is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders. Trazodone, its active ingredient, acts as a serotonin modulator and is used in the therapy of depression, as well as in the management of sleep disorders related to depression. It may also be indicated in cases of anxiety and as an adjunct in the treatment of mood disorders, providing relief in patients presenting depressive symptoms and sleep disturbances.

Composition

Each Sideril capsule contains 100 mg of trazodone as the active ingredient. Additionally, it includes excipients necessary for its formulation, which facilitate the absorption and stability of the medication.

Contraindications

Sideril is not recommended for use in patients with hypersensitivity to trazodone or any of the components of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients who have received monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the last two weeks, as well as in those with a history of severe cardiovascular problems or arrhythmias. Its use during pregnancy and lactation must be evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with a history of seizures. Patients should be monitored for possible adverse effects, especially in the first weeks of treatment. The administration of Sideril may cause drowsiness; therefore, driving or performing activities that require mental alertness should be avoided until the patient's reaction to the medication is known.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
