Indications
Sekisan Syrup is indicated for the treatment of dry, non-productive cough in adults and children over 2 years of age. Its action is based on the suppression of the cough reflex, resulting in temporary relief of throat and airway irritation. It is recommended in situations where coughing can be harmful or uncomfortable, such as in cases of colds, pharyngitis, or laryngitis. It should be used under medical supervision and considering the individual characteristics of each patient.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Sekisan Syrup contains: Cloperastine 354 mg, excipients: sorbitol, glycerin, flavoring, purified water.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cloperastine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe chronic respiratory diseases, as well as in those who have a cough with sputum production or a cough associated with side effects of medications that affect the respiratory system.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect respiratory function. It is important to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is recommended not to exceed the indicated dose and to avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
