Indications

Rivotril is indicated in the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of certain types of epilepsy. This medication acts as an anticonvulsant and anxiolytic, helping to reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain and providing relief in episodes of acute anxiety and seizures. Additionally, it can be used in the management of other central nervous system disorders as per medical indication.

Composition

Each Rivotril tablet contains 2 mg of Clonazepam as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as lactose, starch, and other inactive components that allow for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Rivotril is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clonazepam or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in individuals with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with severe respiratory diseases, severe hepatic insufficiency, or myasthenia gravis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Rivotril in patients with a history of depression, lung diseases, or in those who are receiving other medications that may cause central nervous system depression. Regular medical follow-up is important to adjust the dose and evaluate the efficacy of the treatment, as well as the appearance of adverse effects.

Storage

Store in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C), protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
