Indications
Pemix is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, especially in cases of functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome. Its action improves gastric motility and the coordination of intestinal transit. Additionally, it is used as an adjunct in the management of nausea and vomiting. Cinitapride acts on serotonergic and dopaminergic receptors, which contributes to the regulation of gastrointestinal function.
Composition
Each Pemix tablet contains:
- Cinitapride 1 mg.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cinitapride or any component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of intestinal obstruction, intestinal perforation, or hemorrhagic gastrointestinal diseases. It is also contraindicated in patients with pheochromocytoma and in those receiving treatment with MAOI antidepressants.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy, liver or kidney disorders, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect the central nervous system. Medical monitoring is recommended during treatment, especially in elderly patients or those with pre-existing medical conditions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
