Indications

Palexia Retard is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, including chronic pain and postoperative pain. This medication acts on the central nervous system, modulating pain perception and response. Its use is indicated in patients who require long-term pain management and who have not responded adequately to other analgesics. It is important that the use of this medication is supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure adequate assessment of efficacy and safety in each patient.

Composition

Each Palexia Retard tablet contains 100 mg of Tapentadol as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption. It is essential to consult the package or leaflet for detailed information on excipients and their function.

Contraindications

Palexia Retard is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tapentadol or any component of the formula. In addition, its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory depression, acute alcohol intoxication, or those who are using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last two weeks. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse or opioid dependence.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, respiratory diseases, renal or hepatic insufficiency. The use of Palexia Retard may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and decreased ability to drive or operate machinery. It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may enhance the sedative effects of the medication.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
