Indications

Ovestin cream is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of vaginal atrophy related to menopause, such as dryness, itching, and discomfort during sexual intercourse. It is also used for the treatment of hormonal disorders in women with estrogen deficiency. This medication helps restore hormonal balance and can be beneficial for vaginal health and the quality of life of postmenopausal patients.

Composition

Each 1 g of cream contains 1 mg of estriol as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and topical application of the product.

Contraindications

Ovestin cream is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to estriol or any of the components of the formulation. It should not be used in cases of breast or endometrial cancer, or in women with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis.

Precautions
