Indications

Omnitrope is indicated for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency in children and adults. In children, it is used to treat insufficient growth associated with conditions such as chronic renal insufficiency, Turner syndrome, and campomelic dysplasia, among others. In adults, it is indicated for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency that may be present since childhood or that develops in adulthood. Additionally, it is used to improve muscle mass and quality of life in patients with muscle wasting related to HIV/AIDS.

Composition

Each Omnitrope cartridge contains 10 mg of somatropin (recombinant) in a sterile solution. Excipients include water for injection and other inactive components.

Contraindications

Omnitrope is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to somatropin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with active tumors, in those with critical illnesses involving surgical complications, or in patients with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and in those with thyroid disorders, as somatropin can alter the metabolism of thyroid hormones. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is important, as it can induce insulin resistance.

Storage

Omnitrope should be stored refrigerated at 2-8 °C. It should not be frozen. Once opened, the cartridge can be stored at room temperature (up to 25 °C) and must be used within 28 days of opening.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
