Indications
Normex Suspension is primarily used as an osmotic laxative in the treatment of occasional constipation. Its action is based on milk of magnesia's ability to draw water into the intestine, which facilitates evacuation. Additionally, it can be indicated for neutralizing gastric acidity, providing relief in cases of heartburn and stomach discomfort. It is important to follow medical instructions and use it under medical supervision, especially in cases of kidney disease or electrolyte imbalances, as prolonged use can lead to electrolyte imbalances.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Normex Suspension contains: Milk of Magnesia 8.5 g. Excipients: purified water, flavoring, among others.
Contraindications
Normex Suspension is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in individuals with intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, or those presenting with symptoms of acute abdomen. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using Normex in patients with kidney disease, heart disease, or those who are on diuretic treatment. It is important to avoid prolonged use without medical supervision, as it could lead to dependence or electrolyte imbalances. It is suggested not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if you have any questions or adverse symptoms.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
