Indications
Natrilix Sr (Indapamide) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication acts as a diuretic, reducing blood pressure by increasing the elimination of water and electrolytes through urine. It is used as monotherapy or as part of a combined treatment regimen for patients who have not achieved adequate blood pressure control with other antihypertensive medications.
Additionally, Natrilix Sr may be useful in preventing cardiovascular events in patients with hypertension and cardiovascular risk factors, contributing to the reduction of morbidity and mortality associated with heart and brain diseases.
Composition
Each tablet contains 1.5 mg of Indapamide as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to indapamide or to any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of anuria, severe renal failure, and during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gout, liver disorders, diabetes mellitus, electrochemical disorders, or in those taking medications that may affect electrolyte balance. Regular monitoring of electrolyte levels is recommended in patients on prolonged treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
