Indications
Mitzoratta is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure. It can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensives, and its use should be considered in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases or conditions that require strict blood pressure control.
Composition
Each Mitzoratta tablet contains 40 mg of olmesartan medoxomil as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption. The exact composition of the excipients can be found in the product leaflet.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olmesartan or any of the excipients. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with renal artery stenosis, renal insufficiency, or conditions predisposing to hypovolemia. It is important to monitor renal function and blood potassium levels during treatment. Mitzoratta should not be used as an emergency treatment for hypertension.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
