Indications
Mitzoratta is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, resulting in a decrease in blood pressure. Additionally, it can be used in patients with heart failure and in those at risk of cardiovascular disease, as part of a comprehensive treatment strategy.
Composition
Each Mitzoratta tablet contains 40 mg of olmesartan medoxomil as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate, which facilitate the formulation and absorption of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to olmesartan or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or in those with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, liver disease, or heart failure. It is important to monitor blood pressure and electrolytes in patients receiving Mitzoratta treatment, especially in the first months of treatment. Additionally, assessment of renal function should be considered before and during treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
