Indications
Mircera is indicated for the treatment of anemia in adult patients with chronic kidney disease who require renal replacement therapy, either in hemodialysis patients or in those not undergoing dialysis. This medication acts as an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent, promoting the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow, resulting in an increase in hemoglobin and improved blood levels in patients with anemia secondary to renal failure. Mircera can also be used in cancer patients who develop anemia as a result of chemotherapy.
Composition
Each Mircera syringe contains 100 mcg of Methoxy Polyethylene Glycol Epoetin Beta as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its presentation and administration.
Contraindications
Mircera is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Methoxy Polyethylene Glycol Epoetin Beta or any of the excipients included in the syringe. It is also contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, as well as in those who have had recent severe thromboembolic events.
Precautions
It is important to monitor hemoglobin levels in patients treated with Mircera to avoid an excessive increase, which can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular complications. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or those with risk factors for such conditions. In addition, the dose should be adjusted based on the patient's individual responses to treatment.

Store refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
