Indications

Metisona is indicated in the treatment of various conditions requiring an anti-inflammatory and/or immunosuppressive effect. It is used in the management of autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. It is also prescribed for the treatment of severe allergic diseases, such as bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis. Furthermore, it can be useful in the management of inflammatory dermatological conditions and in the treatment of some types of cancer. It is important that the use of Metisona be under strict medical supervision, considering the evaluation of the benefits and risks associated with the treatment.

Composition

Each ampule of Metisona contains 500 mg of methylprednisolone as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.

Contraindications

Metisona is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to methylprednisolone or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered in uncontrolled systemic infections, as well as in situations where activation of the immune system is required. Its use in patients with peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal diseases is also contraindicated.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Metisona in patients with a history of diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease. Prolonged treatment can cause significant side effects; therefore, regular monitoring of the patient is recommended. The use of Metisona in geriatric patients requires careful evaluation due to the increased risk of adverse effects.

Store at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
