Indications
Mafena Retard is indicated for the treatment of painful and inflammatory conditions. Its use is recommended in cases of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other conditions involving pain and inflammation, such as traumatic and postoperative injuries. Diclofenac acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, which in turn helps reduce inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each Mafena Retard tablet contains 100 mg of diclofenac in its sustained-release form, in addition to excipients necessary for its formulation. It is important to review the package information for a complete list of components and excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any of its components. Its use is not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, severe heart failure, severe kidney or liver disease, or during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, hypertension, kidney or liver failure, and in those who are being treated with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Renal and hepatic function monitoring is recommended during prolonged treatment. In case of gastrointestinal symptoms, discontinuation of treatment should be considered.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and moisture.
