Indications
Lopresor R is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension, as well as in the management of angina pectoris. It is also used in patients with myocardial infarction to reduce mortality and improve survival. In addition, it can be used in the treatment of certain cardiac arrhythmias and in the prevention of migraines. It is essential that the use of this medication be supervised by a physician who can determine the appropriate dosage and duration of treatment, as well as evaluate the specific conditions of the patient.
Composition
Each Lopresor R tablet contains 95 mg of metoprolol as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metoprolol or any of the excipients, as well as in those with severe bradycardia, untreated second or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, and in patients with bronchial asthma or severe uncontrolled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or those who are about to undergo surgery. The use of Lopresor R should be supervised in elderly individuals and in patients with impaired renal or hepatic function. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, and keep out of reach of children.
