Indications
Laritol Ex Syrup is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory conditions accompanied by productive cough and nasal congestion. It is useful in managing symptoms associated with common colds and other acute respiratory infections. Loratadine acts as an antihistamine, relieving allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and runny nose. On the other hand, ambroxol is a mucolytic that facilitates expectoration by modifying the viscosity of mucus, which contributes to clearing the respiratory tract. This medication is suitable for adults and children over 2 years of age, always under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each 100 ml of syrup contains: Loratadine 100 mg and Ambroxol 600 mg.
Contraindications
Laritol Ex Syrup is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loratadine, ambroxol, or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of severe allergic reactions or those with severe liver diseases, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with the active ingredients of Laritol. It is important to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase drowsiness and other side effects. In case of pregnancy or breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before starting treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
