Indications
Kenaprol is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension, as well as for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of myocardial infarction. It is also used in the management of angina pectoris and in the treatment of certain cardiac arrhythmias. Its action is based on reducing heart rate and lowering blood pressure, which contributes to improving cardiac function and the patient's quality of life.
Composition
Each Kenaprol tablet contains 100 mg of metoprolol as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that favor its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
The use of Kenaprol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metoprolol or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, and in patients with bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, unless otherwise indicated by a specialist physician.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when administering Kenaprol to patients with a history of respiratory diseases, diabetes mellitus, hepatic or renal dysfunction, and in those who are being treated with other antihypertensives. Likewise, it is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment. Abrupt discontinuation of the medication should be avoided, as this can precipitate a rebound syndrome.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
