Indications
Idaptan is indicated for the treatment of stable angina pectoris, as well as for the treatment of symptoms of chronic heart failure. Trimetazidine works by improving myocardial metabolic efficiency, optimizing glucose utilization, and reducing lactic acid production, which contributes to better oxygenation of heart tissue. This medication is useful for patients who experience limitations in their physical activity due to the characteristics of their cardiovascular condition.
Composition
Each Idaptan tablet contains 35 mg of trimetazidine as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Idaptan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to trimetazidine or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with Parkinson's disease or related disorders, as well as in those with severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with moderate renal impairment and in those with a history of movement disorders. Continuous medical monitoring is important for patients who experience unusual symptoms during treatment. In addition, abrupt discontinuation of treatment should be avoided, as it may lead to a worsening of anginal symptoms.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
