Indications
Hepa-Merz is indicated for the treatment of hepatocellular disorders. It is indicated for the management of hepatic encephalopathy and improves liver function in patients with liver failure. L-Ornithine and L-Aspartate, its active components, help reduce blood ammonia levels, which favors clinical response in patients with chronic and acute liver pathologies. In addition, it can be used as part of a comprehensive therapeutic approach in the management of liver diseases.
Composition
Each ampoule of Hepa-Merz contains:
- L-Ornithine 5 g
- L-Aspartate 5 g
- Excipients: water for injection, hydrochloric acid and sodium bicarbonate.
Contraindications
Hepa-Merz is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe renal failure, metabolic comas, or in patients with severe alterations in liver function.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disorders. Medical follow-up is important if this medication is used in combination with other treatments. The use of Hepa-Merz should be supervised by a physician, especially in elderly patients or those with pre-existing medical conditions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
