Indications
Dimegan-D is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic processes, such as allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and other allergic disorders. This medicine helps reduce nasal congestion and discharge, as well as relieve sneezing and itchy eyes and nose. The combination of loratadine, a second-generation antihistamine, and phenylephrine, a decongestant, provides a synergistic effect that allows for more effective management of allergic symptoms. Its use is recommended in adults and children over 12 years of age, always under medical supervision.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Dimegan-D solution contains: Loratadine 0.05 g and Phenylephrine 0.2 g.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, or in those who are receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma, and thyroid problems. Likewise, simultaneous use with other medicines containing phenylephrine or antihistamines is suggested to be avoided. The administration of this medicine must be supervised by a doctor, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly or patients with chronic medical conditions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
