Indications

Dicynone is indicated for the treatment of hemorrhagic disorders, especially in situations where stabilization of blood vessels and reduction of bleeding are required. It is used in cases of postoperative hemorrhages, hemorrhages due to trauma, and in situations of bleeding associated with gynecological procedures, as well as in other conditions requiring the promotion of hemostasis. Its effect is based on its action on microcirculation, which helps to reduce capillary permeability and improve blood clotting, being useful in the management of patients at risk of hemorrhage.

Composition

Each Dicynone capsule contains 500 mg of etamsylate as the active ingredient. Excipients may include: gelatin, glycerin, titanium dioxide, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etamsylate or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used in situations where hemostasis is not indicated, such as in cases of active hemorrhage due to severe coagulopathy.

Precautions

Care should be taken when administering it to patients with a history of gastrointestinal problems or who are on anticoagulant treatment. It is important to evaluate liver and kidney function before starting treatment. During pregnancy and lactation, the use of Dicynone should only be considered if strictly necessary and under appropriate medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
