Indications
Blodivit is indicated as a treatment for primary hypercholesterolemia, as well as mixed dyslipidemia. It is used in patients with a history of coronary heart disease, in order to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. In addition, it can be used in combination with diet and lifestyle changes to improve blood lipid levels, as well as to prevent the progression of coronary heart disease in diabetic patients or those with other cardiovascular risk factors.
Composition
Each Blodivit tablet contains 40 mg of atorvastatin as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that promote the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atorvastatin or any of the formula's components. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients with active liver disease or persistent elevations of transaminases, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, myopathy, or risk factors for developing myopathy. Special care should also be taken when prescribing Blodivit to people over 70 years of age, as well as those with renal insufficiency or those being treated with other medications that may interact with atorvastatin.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
