Indications
Arcalion is indicated for the treatment of fatigue and tiredness, as well as for the management of disorders related to thiamine deficiency. It is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, helping to improve mood and cognitive function. It can also be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy and in the prevention of complications associated with vitamin B1 deficiency, especially in patients at high risk of developing these conditions.
Composition
Each tablet contains 200 mg of sulbutiamine, as well as excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Arcalion is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sulbutiamine or any of the components of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe psychiatric disorders.
Precautions
It is recommended to carefully evaluate the use of Arcalion in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases. During treatment, the appearance of adverse effects should be monitored, especially in elderly patients or those taking other medications. Its use in combination with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Keep at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
