Indications
Almax is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of gastric hyperacidity and the relief of symptoms associated with heartburn, such as gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux, and indigestion. Its formulation, based on Almagate, acts by neutralizing excess acid in the stomach, providing a protective effect on the gastric mucosa and alleviating the sensation of burning and abdominal discomfort. This medication is useful in cases of discomfort caused by the ingestion of irritating foods or in stressful situations that may increase the stomach's acid production.
Composition
Each Almax sachet contains 1.5 g of Almagate as the active ingredient, in addition to suitable excipients for its formulation.
Contraindications
Almax is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency or in those with intestinal obstruction. Likewise, its use should be avoided in patients who are undergoing treatment with medications that require a specific stomach pH for their proper absorption.
Precautions
Caution is advised when using Almax in patients with kidney diseases, as it may accumulate in the body. Medical monitoring is recommended in case of prolonged use or in elderly patients. Care should also be taken when using other medications concomitantly, as Almax may interfere with the absorption of certain drugs if taken simultaneously.
Storage
Store in its original packaging, in a cool and dry place, away from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
