Indications

Zatin (fluoxetine) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and panic disorders. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of bulimia nervosa and in some cases of anxiety disorders. Fluoxetine acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, helping to improve mood and reduce anxiety in patients. It is important that its use is supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage according to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each Zatin capsule contains 20 mg of fluoxetine in hydrochloride form, as well as necessary excipients for the drug's formulation.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of mania or manic episodes.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disorders, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with fluoxetine. Regular medical follow-up during treatment is essential.
