Indications

Yaprinca (linezolid) is indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is used in the management of community-acquired pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains. Its use is indicated in adult and pediatric patients older than 12 years. Linezolid acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, making it an effective therapeutic option for difficult-to-treat infections.

Composition

Each ml of Yaprinca contains 2 mg of linezolid. Excipients: hydrochloric acid, purified water, among others.

Contraindications

Yaprinca is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to linezolid or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of serotonergic syndrome.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hematological disorders, as treatment may be associated with the occurrence of thrombocytopenia and anemia. Hematological function monitoring is recommended during treatment. Additionally, the use of Yaprinca in pregnant and breastfeeding women should only be considered if the benefits outweigh the potential risks.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
