Indications
Vicsel is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults. It is also used in the management of obsessive-compulsive disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety disorders. Fluoxetine acts on the central nervous system, increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety.
In the case of eating disorders, Vicsel can be part of a comprehensive approach to treating bulimia nervosa, contributing to the reduction of binge-eating and purging episodes. Likewise, it can be indicated for the treatment of premenstrual dysphoric disorders, helping to alleviate emotional and physical symptoms associated with this disorder.
Composition
Each Vicsel capsule contains: Fluoxetine 20 mg, excipients q.s. for 1 capsule.
Contraindications
Vicsel is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of severe allergic reactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, bipolar disorders, and those with a history of substance abuse. Continuous medical follow-up is important to assess treatment response and adjust the dose if necessary. Care should also be taken in elderly patients, who may be more sensitive to side effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
