Indications
Veridex is indicated for the treatment of various parasitic infections. It is effective against certain types of helminths, as well as against ectoparasites such as lice and scabies. Ivermectin works by paralyzing and destroying parasites, which helps eliminate infestations. It is commonly used in the treatment of onchocerciasis (river blindness), lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis), and other infections caused by nematodes and ectoparasites. The dosage and duration of treatment should be determined by a doctor, based on the patient's specific medical condition and the severity of the infestation.
Composition
Each Veridex tablet contains 6 mg of Ivermectin as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and magnesium stearate, which aid in the formulation of the medication and its absorption.
Contraindications
Veridex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ivermectin or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate supervision from a healthcare professional. Its use should also be avoided in patients with neurological diseases or those taking medications that may interact with Ivermectin.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with liver diseases, as Ivermectin is metabolized in the liver. Likewise, the doctor should be informed about any other medications the patient is taking to avoid interactions. Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
