Indications
Vandix 500 mg is an antibiotic of the penicillin class, indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of:
- Upper respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and otitis media.
- Lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Skin and soft tissue infections.
- Erysipelas and cellulitis.
- Gastrointestinal infections, such as those caused by Helicobacter pylori in combination with other medications.
It is important that Vandix be administered under the supervision of a physician, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage according to the severity of the infection and the patient's characteristics.
Composition
Each Vandix capsule contains 500 mg of amoxicillin, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Vandix should not be administered in the following cases:
- Known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, other penicillin-class antibiotics, or any of the formula's components.
- Patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. It is recommended to evaluate liver and kidney function before initiating treatment. Additionally, in case of severe or persistent diarrhea, the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis should be considered.
Storage
Store Vandix at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
