Indications
Tetrazol is indicated in the treatment of eye redness associated with minor irritations, such as exposure to light, wind, or pollution. Its action as an ocular decongestant reduces conjunctival hyperemia and relieves irritation symptoms. It is also used in the treatment of conditions such as allergic conjunctivitis, where it helps reduce inflammation and redness of the eyes. Tetrahydrozoline acts as an adrenergic agonist, providing a vasoconstrictor effect that helps relieve eye redness quickly and effectively.
Composition
Each milliliter of Tetrazol contains 0.5 mg of tetrahydrozoline (as tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride) in a sterile solution. In addition, it contains excipients that guarantee the stability and effectiveness of the product, ensuring its proper preservation and administration.
Contraindications
Tetrazol is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to tetrahydrozoline or any component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma. Additionally, its use in children under 3 years of age is not recommended.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Tetrazol in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or diabetes, as it may cause an increase in blood pressure. Prolonged use of the medication should be avoided, as it may cause a rebound effect and worsen eye redness. In case of persistent or worsening symptoms, a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
