Indications

Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults, as a first-line therapy or in combination with other antihypertensives. This medication works by inhibiting the action of angiotensin II, which results in blood vessel dilation and a reduction in blood pressure. It is also used in patients with specific conditions such as heart failure or in those who have experienced previous cardiovascular events, to reduce the risk of complications.

Composition

Each tablet contains:
Telmisartan: 80 mg
Hydrochlorothiazide: 12.5 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of anuria, severe renal insufficiency, or severe dehydration. Furthermore, its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of allergies, liver diseases, diabetes mellitus, or those undergoing treatment with diuretics. Renal function and electrolyte levels, as well as blood pressure, should be monitored during treatment. In case of adverse effects, it is essential to consult a physician.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from light.
