Indications

Tebegran is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. The action of Sumatriptan, the active ingredient in Tebegran, is due to its ability to act as a selective agonist of serotonin receptors (5-HT1B and 5-HT1D), which results in the vasoconstriction of dilated blood vessels in the brain during a migraine episode. This medication is not indicated for the prevention of migraine attacks, but solely for the treatment of acute episodes. The dose should be administered as soon as migraine symptoms begin and the recommended dose should not be exceeded. It is essential that the patient be evaluated by a doctor to determine the suitability of this treatment according to their clinical profile.

Composition

Each Tebegran tablet contains 100 mg of Sumatriptan as the active ingredient. Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Tebegran is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Sumatriptan or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with cardiovascular diseases, Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, uncontrolled hypertension, and in those who have had a myocardial infarction or angina pectoris. Its use should be avoided in patients who are taking other triptan-class medications or monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular risk factors, a history of seizures, or those who experience unusual migraine symptoms. A doctor should be consulted before starting treatment if other medications that may interact with Sumatriptan are being taken.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
