Indications

Sutivin (vincristine) is indicated for the treatment of various malignant neoplasms, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and solid tumors in pediatrics. This drug acts as a chemotherapeutic agent that interferes with cell mitosis, inhibiting microtubule formation and, therefore, stopping the proliferation of cancer cells. It is commonly used in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents to increase its effectiveness. Its use must be strictly supervised by a trained medical professional.

Composition

Each ampoule of Sutivin contains 1 mg of vincristine. In addition, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to vincristine or to any of the excipients. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients with severe infections, severe peripheral neuropathies, or in those who present a compromised health status that prevents chemotherapy tolerance.

Precautions

Caution is recommended when administering vincristine to patients with a history of neurological diseases, as it may exacerbate neuropathy. Constant monitoring of liver function and bone marrow is important, as vincristine can cause hematological toxicity. In addition, it should be avoided in patients with a history of severe constipation or obstructive bowel disease.

Storage

The product should be stored at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct light. It should be kept out of reach of children and not used after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
