Indications
Soldrin Optic is a medication indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic processes of the eye, as well as for the management of bacterial infections that can affect the ocular surface. The combination of Hydrocortisone, a corticosteroid, acts by reducing inflammation and redness, while Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that helps fight bacterial infections. Benzocaine, a local anesthetic, provides pain and discomfort relief that may occur during treatment. This medication is useful in conditions such as conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and other ocular conditions where inflammation and infection are primary concerns.
Composition
Each milliliter of Soldrin Optic contains: Hydrocortisone 0.5 mg, Chloramphenicol 5 mg, and Benzocaine 2 mg. Excipients: purified water, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, and others.
Contraindications
Soldrin Optic should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It is contraindicated in viral and fungal infections of the eye, as well as in cases of ocular tuberculosis and herpes simplex.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using this medication in patients with a history of glaucoma or cataracts. Likewise, prolonged use should be avoided, as it may increase intraocular pressure. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions and not self-medicate.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
