Indications
Sirapeh (Paclitaxel) is indicated for the treatment of various types of cancer, including ovarian carcinoma, metastatic breast carcinoma, and non-small cell lung carcinoma. This medication works by inhibiting cell division, which results in the death of cancer cells. It is essential that this drug be administered under strict medical supervision, given its safety profile and the need for monitoring during treatment.
Composition
Each vial of Sirapeh contains 300 mg of Paclitaxel in an injectable solution, in addition to excipients to facilitate its administration and stability.
Contraindications
Sirapeh is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Paclitaxel or any of the formulation components. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe neutropenia, active infections, or in pregnant and breastfeeding women, due to possible adverse effects on the fetus or neonate.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Sirapeh to patients with a history of heart disease, as it may cause cardiovascular adverse effects. In addition, it is important to monitor liver and kidney function, as well as hematological parameters during treatment. Liver function tests are recommended before starting treatment and regularly during therapy.
Storage
Sirapeh should be stored at temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
