Indications
Simlo (simvastatin) is indicated for the treatment of primary and mixed hypercholesterolemia in adults, as well as for the reduction of the risk of coronary heart disease in patients with a history of myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, or diabetes mellitus. Simvastatin acts by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis in the liver, resulting in a decrease in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and total cholesterol levels in the blood. Its use is complementary to a low-cholesterol diet and other non-pharmacological measures.
Composition
Each Simlo tablet contains 20 mg of simvastatin as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and other inactive components that facilitate its formulation and administration.
Contraindications
Simlo is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to simvastatin or any of the excipients in the formulation, in those with active liver disease or persistent elevations of liver transaminases, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, as well as in those who consume large amounts of alcohol. It is important to regularly monitor liver function and cholesterol levels during treatment. In addition, special care should be taken in patients who are being treated with other medications that may increase the risk of simvastatin-related adverse effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
