Indications

Sildenafil 50 mg is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection satisfactory for sexual intercourse. Sildenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which helps to achieve an erection. This medication is not an aphrodisiac and does not increase sexual desire. Its use should always be under the supervision of a doctor, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment for each patient.

Composition

Each tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and others.

Contraindications

The use of Sildenafil is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to sildenafil or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in those who are using nitrates for the treatment of angina pectoris, as it can cause a significant decrease in blood pressure. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of myocardial infarction, stroke, or severe arrhythmias.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as sexual activity may involve an additional risk. It is also recommended to evaluate liver and kidney function before starting treatment. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption, as it can decrease the effectiveness of the medication. Concomitant use with other treatments for erectile dysfunction is not recommended without proper medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
