Indications

Sildenafil is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. This condition is characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity. Sildenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, thus facilitating an erection. This medication can be used in men of various ages who experience erection problems, whether due to psychological, physical, or a combination of both causes. It is important that Sildenafil be administered under proper medical supervision, considering that its use must be individualized and based on the patient's evaluation.

Composition

Each tablet contains 100 mg of Sildenafil as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Sildenafil or any of the excipients in the formula. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients who are taking nitrates in any form, because this combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Its use is also contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases or who have recently suffered a myocardial infarction.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, liver or kidney problems. It is essential to perform a medical evaluation before starting treatment with Sildenafil, as well as monitoring the patient's cardiovascular health during its use. Care should also be taken in patients with anatomical deformities of the penis or who have a higher risk of priapism.
