Indications

Sildenafil is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. This medication acts as a selective inhibitor of the phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) enzyme, which regulates blood flow in the penis, thus facilitating an erection in response to sexual stimulation. It is recommended that the medication be taken approximately 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity. The effectiveness of Sildenafil can be affected by food intake, especially high-fat foods, so it is advisable to administer it on an empty stomach to optimize its action. It is important to note that Sildenafil is not an aphrodisiac and does not increase sexual desire.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Sildenafil 100 mg, excipients q.s.p. 1 tablet.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Sildenafil or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in combination with nitrates in any form, as this can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe heart conditions, severe liver failure, or who have recently suffered a stroke or myocardial infarction.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, erectile problems of non-psychological origin, or those undergoing treatment with antihypertensive medications. Regular medical monitoring is essential in these cases. In addition, excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it can reduce the effectiveness of the medication and increase the risk of side effects.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
