Indications

Sildenafil is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. This condition is characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Sildenafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, allowing for an adequate erection. It is important to note that Sildenafil is only effective with sexual stimulation and does not cause a spontaneous erection.

Composition

Each Sildenafil tablet contains 100 mg of sildenafil citrate as the active ingredient. Additionally, it includes excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.

Contraindications

Sildenafil is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. It should not be administered to patients who are using nitrates in any form, as the combination can cause a significant drop in blood pressure. Likewise, it is contraindicated in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, severe hepatic insufficiency, and those who have had a recent myocardial infarction.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, such as unstable angina, heart failure, or arrhythmias. Care should also be taken in patients with retinitis pigmentosa or those taking medications that affect sildenafil metabolism. A complete medical evaluation is essential before starting treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
