Indications

Sertraline is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety disorder, and panic disorder. Its use is based on its ability to increase serotonin levels in the brain, contributing to improved mood and reduced anxiety. Medical monitoring is recommended to assess treatment response and adjust the dosage as needed.

Composition

Each Sertraline 50 mg tablet contains: Sertraline (as hydrochloride) 50 mg, excipients: lactose monohydrate, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Sertraline is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sertraline or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and in patients with a history of mania or hypomania.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disorders, and in those receiving concomitant treatments that may affect liver function. It is important to monitor patients for the risk of suicide, especially at the beginning of treatment or when adjusting the dosage.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
