Indications

Sensimitina is indicated for the treatment of severe infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to the combination of imipenem and cilastatin. These infections may include, but are not limited to, intra-abdominal infections, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and sepsis. The combination of imipenem and cilastatin provides a broad spectrum of activity against gram-positive, gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria. This medication is particularly useful in patients requiring aggressive treatment due to the severity of their condition or the resistance of pathogens.

Composition

Each ampoule contains 500 mg of imipenem and 500 mg of cilastatin.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to imipenem, cilastatin, or any other component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of seizures or severe neurological disorders, as well as in those with severe renal insufficiency without appropriate dose adjustment.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of neurological diseases, as well as in those with renal insufficiency. Renal and neurological function should be monitored during treatment. This medication should be used with caution in patients with allergies or asthma, and a prior medical evaluation is suggested in such cases.

Storage

Store at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
