Indications
Senloir is indicated for the treatment of asthma in adult and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older. This medication acts as a leukotriene receptor antagonist, helping to prevent and control asthmatic symptoms, including wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. It is also used in the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, relieving symptoms such as sneezing, nasal itching, and congestion. Its use is especially relevant in cases where long-term control of asthmatic and allergic symptoms is required, contributing to improving the patient's quality of life.
Composition
Each Senloir tablet contains 10 mg of Montelukast as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Senloir is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Montelukast or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of acute asthma attacks or as emergency treatment, as it does not provide immediate relief of acute symptoms.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as behavioral changes and suicidal thoughts have been reported in some patients using Montelukast. It is important to adequately monitor patients who present with symptoms of depression or behavioral changes during treatment. Furthermore, this medication should not replace inhaled corticosteroids in asthma management, and the therapeutic regimen recommended by the physician should be followed.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
