Indications

Sediclon is indicated for the treatment of symptoms related to gastrointestinal disorders, such as abdominal spasms and cramps. It is useful in the management of conditions like irritable bowel syndrome, where involuntary muscle contractions occur in the digestive tract. Additionally, it can be used to relieve pain associated with dysmenorrhea, providing an antispasmodic effect that reduces tension in the smooth muscle of the intestine. This medication works by blocking the action of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that causes contractions in smooth muscles, thereby helping to relax the gastrointestinal tract.

Composition

Each Sediclon tablet contains 10 mg of Dicycloverine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

Sediclon is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dicycloverine or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, intestinal obstruction, or severe heart conditions that affect cardiovascular system function.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, as this medication can affect heart rate. Likewise, its use is recommended to be avoided in people over 65 years of age, unless strictly necessary and under the supervision of a physician. It is important to monitor for any adverse effects during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
