Indications
Rosuvastatin is indicated for the treatment of dyslipidemia, specifically in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia. Its use is recommended in cases of heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and in patients with hypertriglyceridemia. Additionally, it is indicated for the reduction of cardiovascular events in patients with cardiovascular risk factors, as well as in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases in patients with a history of cardiovascular events and in those with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Composition
Each tablet contains:
- Rosuvastatin 20 mg
- Excipients: Lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Rosuvastatin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula, in those with active liver disease, as well as in patients with persistent elevations of transaminases. Its use is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver diseases, renal failure, as well as in those who consume excessive alcohol. It is recommended to monitor lipid levels and liver function tests during treatment. Concomitant administration with other drugs that may increase the risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis should be carefully evaluated.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
