Indications

Rosuvastatin is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is designed to reduce levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (low-density lipoproteins), non-HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, as well as to increase HDL cholesterol (high-density lipoproteins) levels. Its use is indicated in patients who require a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular events in those with a history of coronary heart disease or type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as in patients with cardiovascular risk factors. Additionally, it can be used in combination with other lipid-lowering treatments to achieve optimal control of blood lipids.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Rosuvastatin (as rosuvastatin calcium) 10 mg. Excipients: Lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Rosuvastatin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in those with active liver disease, persistent transaminase elevations, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, renal insufficiency, and in those who consume excessive alcohol. It is important to monitor liver and muscle function, as there may be a risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis. Additionally, it is recommended to evaluate interaction with other medications that may increase the risk of adverse effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
