Indications

Reduprec is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and heart failure. It is also used in patients with diabetic nephropathy and to reduce the risk of death and cardiovascular events in patients with established vascular disease. The mechanism of action of Captopril, its active ingredient, is based on the inhibition of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which results in a decrease in blood pressure and the heart's workload.

Composition

Each tablet contains 25 mg of Captopril as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the tablet formulation.

Contraindications

Reduprec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Captopril or any component of the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with a history of angioedema associated with ACE inhibitor treatment and in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis or renal artery stenosis in a single kidney.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney disorders, heart disease, or a history of angioedema. It is recommended to monitor blood pressure and kidney function during treatment. Concomitant use with diuretics or in dehydrated patients may increase the risk of hypotension.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
